There's very little information available on repair of the newer Mazda automatic transmissions, probably due to not much bad happening to them so far. But the scant information in the FSM indicates that the speed sensors and TCM are 'built into' the valve body. And that appears to be confirmed by the fact that these parts are nowhere to be found individually.

Owning a newer vehicle, this is the first time I've searched for information on the newer Mazda transmission internals. So with very little research, I'm not in any way certain that this is all correct. But if what I'm seeing so far is true, then that would certainly be VERY bad news for you, because it means the entire control valve body (big $$$) would need to be replaced if a speed sensor has failed. And that would be the absolute pits. I suggest giving your local Mazda a call, in order to see if they can confirm if what I'm seeing is correct. I certainly hope for your sake it's not true, and that the speed sensors (and TCM) are available somewhere and can actually be replaced.
