Default Leather seat repair

What the best way to repair this issue (see photo). Some how a jean rivet got bent and caused this damage.

Guess you didn't like my response on "the other" forum. Maybe this will convince you:https://www.seatdoctors.com/diy-leat...SAAEgJm6fD_BwE

How about trying some shoe polish?

Might try that. Had thought about it. I've tried shoe polish before (for similar issues) and you have to be careful as it can come off on clothes for a while if your not careful.

Maybe a different picture would help, but from my perspective, it looks like the surface leather was simply scuffed; assuming that is correct, this isn't a "leather repair" per-se. The cool thing about leather is such scuffs tend to smooth out over time.

This leather is rather stiff making it somewhat slippery. So I've been thinking maybe it needs to be slightly sanded and then dyed. Happy to take another photo. You want it from a side angle or ?
