what were the odds
Ya never know what will jump out in front of you. Back in 2000 i bought a 1989 Mekur xr4 ti with a bad/blown engine cheap. I installed a built Ford 302 FI engine in it ,and finely got all the bugs out and had it all sorted out. i was having some fun on the twist's on Arizona rt 491 now ( old rt 666 then ) just B4 the town of Morenci when a large Javelina jumped out in front of me and caused me to flip and total the Merkur . The insurance company gave me less than half of what i had in the car . Javelina dead, Merkur dead, I walked away with only 22 stiches in my head. What are the odds indeed ?

You never know...
Back in the early 80's I had moose run in front of me on the twisty Kancamagus highway in the mountains of New Hampshire.
I was in my 73 Corvette and came around a sharp corner, just after sunset.
Thankfully the moose jumped the guardrail, or my wife and I likely wouldn't be here.

The pain from those, motorcycle days, I prefer not to relive.

I never felt the need to keep the x-rays or damaged bikes/ equipment.
But I personally found that broken bones aren't as painful as the broken bones sticking out your skin or an appendage turned in the opposite direction it was intended to be.
All thanks to brainless idiots on the road.
I admit it, one of which was me at 18 years old
