Default Lane Keep Assist adjustment??

We have a 2018 Subaru Outback along with our new 2020 CX5. They both have Lane Keep Assist. I'm noticing a marked difference between the two cars, however, and wondered how the LKA feature is working on others' CX5s.

In the Subaru, the LKA activates when the wheel drifts within about 8-10 inches of the line on either side. You get the alarm (flashing light, beep, whatever) and you can very definitely feel the LKA gently pushing the car back away from the line. The push is gentle, but very noticeable. It feels like somebody reached over and nudged the steering wheel.

In the CX5, nothing activates until the wheel has passed OVER the line, I would guess 4 to 8 inches. Then, the mechanical correction (pushing the car back away from the line) is so soft and subtle, at first I thought it wasn't even working. I have to almost let go of the wheel to allow the correction to occur.

I had the dealer check it during a recent service visit, and he said it was working fine, the way it's supposed to. He also said these LKA systems can't be adjusted in any way, so I can't have it adjusted to activate sooner or more firmly.

Metaphorically speaking, it's like the Subaru is telling you, "you're getting close to the line," while the CX5 is saying "you just crossed over the line."

I'm kinda disappointed, because we live 30 miles out of town and do quite a bit of freeway driving. I was wondering how the LKA function is working for other CX5 owners.

I've owned 10 cars in 45 years of driving without LKA before I got my 2020 GTR and never had a crash due to veering out of my lane. I don't feel that the Subaru level of auto control would be necessary for me.
