Kickdown switch
Hi guys, I have a 2024 Mazda cx5, 2.5L.
I used the kickdown switch very often to overtake and acceleration, twice a day in average.
Is this ok or I am destroying my car?
Thanks.

There actually is no kick-down switch; it's just a plastic "clicker" used to provide tactile feedback that you've achieved WOT (wide-open throttle).
The reason the transmission downshifts is that the vehicle is doing its best to fulfill your request for maximum acceleration based on the position of the accelerator.
But to answer your question, the harder you push an engine the more wear and tear you put on it. Just don't ever floor it before the engine has reached normal operating temperature and you should be fine.

Don't worry about destroying your car going full throttle. Obviously if you're drag racing the car multiple times a day, then that's when you would be damaging your car. But if you're just passing a couple times with wide open throttle, don't sweat it. Like @cadcamjim said, don't do it on a cold engine until it's fully up to operating temps! Just keep up your maintainence and the car will treat you good.
