In this picture just to the left of the steering column you see the round plug where a switch would be if the truck were so equipped.

What switch would be here?

I used that spot to install a blue LED light, wired in parallel to my B2200 AC compressor, can see part of this to the right of my aftermarket cruise control button pad.

I think grim_reaper is right. It was meant for a manual choke, but when the new version of the truck was available in 1986 -- all with electric choke -- Mazda just covered the hole.

Thanks everyone. It actually makes sense to locate the choke to the left of the column. That way the driver can turn the key and operate the choke simultaneously.
