Indecisive and need a push thinking about getting a cx-5
My wife wanted a 2017 Rogue SL. A year later I bought a 2018 CX-5. The CX-5 is better in all categories. Better handling, better acceleration, and better navigation. The CX-5 cargo area is nicer too. There isn’t one thing I can think of that the Rogue excels in over the CX-5. When we go anywhere together, I drive and now I always take my CX-5.
If you were on a Nissan forum, I'm sure people would tout the pros of the Rouge. I travel a lot for work (at least up until COVID) and the Rouge seems to be the SUV of choice by rental companies. The Nissan is just NOT FUN. It's really underpowered and CVT makes it a horrible car. Additionally, the suspension makes it super floaty. I was actually considering the Rouge as it is a decently looking car and have had great luck with Nissan in the past, but stepping into a CX-5, everything is just much better...handling, transmission, interior. I'd say no contest.
I was in the same situation last December, for about five minutes. I always thought I wanted a Rogue but then I stumbled upon the CX-5 in researching reliability records. I was like "what is this amazing Mazda CX-5?". Lol. I took it for a test drive and never looked back. I LOVE my CX-5 and know I made the right decision for me. Good luck!
Hey all! I never thought buying a car would be such a trigger for anxiety attacks. This process has been draining and now with the covid 19 it’s making it an even trickier process. I’m torn between Nissan Rouge and CX-5. I was settled on a Rouge and have since fallen in love with the 2017 CX-5. Any pros/cons or advice from people that have them would be so much help. I lost my dad in February and this process is even harder not having him in my ear for guidance and reassurance. So I really am grateful for any opinions and help.
