Default I said goodbye to my sonic silver 2019 CX-5 GTR

I sold it last month. Now that my wife and I are both retired we don’t need to GTR’s in the garage. We still have the Soul Red Crystal GTR, which I may trade in with another brand with smaller turbo engine. We just drove 1700+ miles and my butt is still hurting. The CX-5’s leather seat is very unforgiving on long drive - it’s hard and flat. The CX-5 GTR is fun to drive but I suffer on long drive with a three-hr sustained drive in between gas stops. I will be downsizing soon and it will be to a different brand. My son still has his Mazda-3 but I will say goodbye to the Mazda name.

Default You might to consider an option

An option for you to consider is to go to a good upholstery shop and have them change out the seat foam for some more comfortable memory foam. It will probably be cheaper than swapping cars.

Good luck.

p.s. I too have a GTR but it's too new for me to assess the seat comfort on long drives. But if it's not comfortable, I'll head to my local upholstery shop which has fixed the seats on a couple of our cars.

No, I’m not going to lower the trade in value of the GTR. Doing the upholstery route may damage the heated and ventilated seat of my GTR. I’m downsizing soon and I’m trading it in for another brand smaller CUV.

In my experience of getting the seats fixed in two cars, the original functionalities (heated seats) continued without a glitch.

Good luck with your new wheels.
