My model allows me to disable sounds in security mode, I hear no horn, or beeps just see the lights blink.
It does not disable the horn from being sounded from pressing the horn button or when double pressing the FOB button.
The FOB can be odd.
When my FOB battery died it would unlock and lock the doors, but it wouldn't start the vehicle unless I pressed up against the start button.
Doesn't cost much and only takes about 3 minutes to change it out.

Why do people use the internet for information and do not first check out who the resource is? ROLMAO

OK, so the capability to change the security behavior of the horn is model-specific. Some models do allow the horn to be disabled from car lock in security mode. That justifies the post I cited. Yes, I use the internet for information when the info looks cogent and reasonable. You got a problem with CX-5 marketed in China? Um, that's why I'm here in the first place, hoping for cogent and reasonable advice. But it is a little strange that my car decided not to sound the horn when locking the car for a while. It has now reset itself so the horn does now sound when I lock the doors. How strange.

That is not what I posted at all! And YES I gave cogent and reasonable information (advise) regarding your choice of information source!

Time to step out. The reasonableness of your dissatisfaction with BitAuto might have been cogent, but was not clearly reasonable. I'll go to my dealer to get info about this.
