Default Has anyone had experience with the CPLAY2wireless adapter?

So I'm trying to figure this out. I have a 2019 CX-5 GT. I bought this adapter because on their website it states that 2018-2020 Mazda vehicles are compatible. Well, for me it has not. It does work for about 30 seconds, then it dumps me back to the main menu of the infotainment system, and just repeats the process over and over.

I've reached out to support, who had me perform several manual updates but no luck. I noticed that my firmware for the infotainment system was out of date, so I upgraded it to 70.00.367 NA N. They insist that its not defective. So I'm trying to see if I'm missing something or have others had a similar experience? thank you.

Trying it right now on our 2020 CX-5 Signature. Works great as long as you don't move. I know this'll sound odd but it connects when I slow to a stop and then disconnects once I'm moving again. Seems to be around the 15 - 20 MPH area that it doesn't want to stay connected.

I believe we have the latest firmware on the entertainment system from the dealer. Working with CARPLAY2air right now.

The hassle is that to test every suggestion I need to take the car out around the neighborhood!

Latest suggestion was to update the adapter even though I updated it yesterday when installing it. They said to download a file to a thumb drive and plug it into a USB power port (no data) and wait 2-3 minutes until the red and blue light came on. It's now been over 45 minutes and the blue light has not come on yet.

They just suggested I try it again to see if it's working now. UGH!

I'll keep you posted but I'm not holding my breath that this is going to work. I've just got a bad feeling about this one.

Larry.

I ordered one for my Sonata last fall but had trouble with it and sent it back. I had trouble keeping it connected.

The support person asked for me to wait about a week until the next firmware release. I asked explicitly if the developers are working specifically on compatibility with Mazda but she skillfully avoided answering by saying, "...your specific issue has been forwarded to our engineers for fixing."

Once I get the next firmware version and have tried it I'll post an update. If this next update does not fix it, I'm returning it.

Yeah I'd hold off and see what happens with their latest update. It's possible stability in general will improve and it'll fix the problem you're having. Keep your fingers crossed!

Sounds like it was released before it was ready to me...
