Great video on why 20% to 30% E85 mixture with 91 octane makes power in skyactiv
Another screenshot with the Mazda 2 running a E 20 blend in Thailand.

Does Skyactiv require premium gas?No. In North America, Skyactiv engines are built to run on regular-grade gasoline. Using pricier premium-grade gasoline may enable a torque and horsepower increase (depending on the year, model, and equipped engine) but 87 octane gas is all the Skyactiv engine needs to deliver its rated output figures.

And also read clearly what that info you posted says.

Not picking on it but it really does not apply to the conversation in this thread unless you live in Thailand.

Once again in that country should the CAT fail the Warranty to replace a CAT may be challenging at best.
Honestly anyone wanting to use E85 choose to use at your own risk. For the slight improvements is it really worth it? There are so many other safe methods to improve power output. Sure some cost like one part I changed that was the key reason for my good improvement on my N/A. Still less expensive then a Turbo model Mazda BTW ... Oh and I can use 93 octane all day long and not worry. LOL
What I cant yet solve is not being able to use more then a 50 shot of N2O. LOL I think it has to do with the compression variant in the Skyactiv engine?
Ok but see you do not live in that country

LOL really .... you are into performance what is the main part that you can change on any internal combustion gas engine that will make the biggest difference in performance, high power output
Top of the list is highest gains:
1: supercharger Honda D16 series
2: performance camshaft D16 series engine
3: performance software tuning
4: the use of E85 mixtures in skyactiv engine
5: 4 into one long tube headers D16 series engine
6: cold air intake
7: exhaust system
so from my experience mixtures of E85 in a skyactiv engine beats the gains that I got from headers, air intake, and exhaust system in a D16 Honda series engine. And the best part is that it actually improved the drivability of the car and doesn't make a bunch of racket, and idles nicely. And I got all of this by reaching two feet over and grabbing a different pump handle while I'm at the gas station.
with all this being said though, I probably will be on this forum shortly trying to figure out how to change my high pressure fuel pump, or how to change out my catalytic converter.
I have fooled around with some exhaust experiments on the cx-5, but the way the car up shifts so quickly makes it sound really bad, and makes me just want to go back to a stock silent exhaust as soon as possible.
Nope none of those.....
HINT, think real money!

Most of your list is inexpensive and while they do somewhat contribute even all your list would benefit from the one part and for of the time will always have a higher end result then any of the single parts you listed! ALWAYS!
