Default Front Cameral Sensor Malfunction

Just bought my 2023 CX-5 last week and I have received this warning notice twice. Is this common? The first time it reset after about 5 minutes. Any idea why this could be happening?

Welcome to the forum.
When I get the message and it resets after a few minutes, it's normally caused by frost or morning dew that evaporates rather quickly.
However, anything on the windshield in front of the camera can cause the error.
Dirt, mud, dust, bird crap, leaves, snow, ice, etc.

It's only happened to me a handful of times when it was either snowing/raining really heavily, and twice when it was fine outside but probably just really dirty.

It has happened to me several times when driving into low angle sun, not uncommon for many current vehicles. I keep my CX-5 clean so no alerts at other times.
