Just wanted to update that my iPhone 12 does play calls through the car sound system without any tweaking.

 

3 years ago I instaled on my 2015 Mazda CX5 Android Auto with succes. Since than IT works very good. Because I move to a new model, CX5, 2018 I miss the AA utilitty. Unfortunatelly the car does not have the latest software that allow to have AA.
So, because I was doing one time before, I follow the same steps, but this time at 2%, the display show "Install Not Successful: System Failure Make sure that the USB with update package is inserted. The system will then automatically retry the update.".
I've tried the NAV+BACK+MUTE button combo. But when it reboots, it comes right back to the same screen.
The car have a 2 years extra warranty, but gues what.... it not cover the software issue!!!
I think the issue was the files that I was try update, maybe was corupted. Other explination I don`t have.
Any chance to fix and not pay a visit on Mazda service?????

Auto electrician with good diagnostics kit may be able to assist at less cost.

 

Today I was called by Mazda guy and will try to do all the best possible to fix my car under the extended warranty that is car at this moment. He doesn't promise that will be ok, I mean to be covered by warranty , but in case of not, they must replace the CMU and cost will be 1300 euro!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????
Of course, I will not pay that money, but just for all mazda enthusiasts to know ...
I will try to find a guy to fix the issue..
