This was pretty naive of me but i put synthetic blended oil into 2016 cx-5. Before this I have always put full synthetic, but i found a deal online with blended synthetic. Mazda recommends full synthetic.

should i continue driving with blended synth until 5k miles?

or

replace the oil now with full synthetic oil before any potential wear may take place?

 

I don't think one cycle of the synthetic blend will hurt anything. I discovered the dealer who offered free oil changes on my car was using a blend, after the two freebies were done I started doing my own change with the Mazda full synthetic. Shop around, you can get it reasonably online.

 

IMHO you'll be fine, as Chris said above. What oil did you use?
