Default engine oil for 2.5T

Greetings
This past summer we purchased a 2021 CX-5 Signature Turbo. While checking specs in the owner's manual I see the 2.5 engine calls for 0w-20 oil and the 2.5T calls for 5w-30 oil. I'm assuming the heavier viscosity required in the 2.5T is to insure proper lubrication of the turbo and its higher heat. Are there any drawbacks to the rest of the engine using the heavier viscosity (5w-30) seeing as the non-turbo engines only require 0w-20? While talking about the engine anyone know if Mazda constructs the 2.5T engine any different than the 2.5 to compensate for the higher compression of the turbo?
thanks Gary

The word should first be changed from REQUIERED to Recommend. This is important because choosing the oil viscosity also has a lot to do with the engines operating environment. Looking at your area.... Weather history for Valley, Pennsylvania, the use of either would work fine for a daily driver. If you look at the specification of each of the 2 MAZDA recommend oil types, they are very close and would only exceed their limit of "protection" on extreme engine use or operating environments.

Please look up the correct information and terminology about oil and what it means.
The basic meaning of oil viscosity is oil flow specifications not really thicker, thinner or heavy and light.
Below is a VERY basic operation temperature chart. This does not indicate "OIL FLASH Temperature" which should be considered if any engine is operated in performance or very high engines speeds for a long period of time. In other words, NOT a daily driven vehicle.

Oil "recommendations" for US vehicles are bases on government mandates regarding fuel mileage.
The same vehicle in another country, say Australia, are usually different.
As to Mazda engines, most of the engine is the same for turbo and no turbo. The camshafts, pistons, and
a few other minor parts may be upgraded for turbo engines.
Mazda offers two different (but visually identical) oil filters for their gas engines.
Some here go oversize on the oil filter and use the Fram 7317 size. (Fram numbering system).

My 2¢
