Keep in mind that using premium gas only increases HP >4000 RPM. Thus, you really need to ring it out to feel the extra HP. The torque is the same regardless of the gas used. That is the key. Don't waste your money on premium gas.

Yes that is interesting comparing the cx-9 and the cx-5. I have a 2016 CX-5 GT which is great but if I were going to go for the new turbo at that point I would just get the CX-9 and get a bit more car.

Checked prices, and.....CX5 Signature: $38,480, Forester Touring: $36,482. I prefer the non CVT and more HP than the Forester. Who knows anything about the RAV4 as a result of Toyota secrecy.

I did not know the Forester was available with anything but the 2.5 NA (in 2019). While the Forester is nice, I think it is very different than the CX-5. No rear heated seats, no cooling, etc.

Yes, I am aware of that. I was didn't mention anything about the Forester having a turbo for 2019. Just the 'plain Jane Forester'.

Yeah, but how do you get a plain Jane forester 36K? That is a 32K car if not 30K. That is what I did not get.

I referred to the Forester as 'plain Jane' for a specific reason. It is a practical vehicle containing many technological advantages, but the style has not changed in years. It is practical, albeit not very imaginative in styling. My daughter has a 2005 Forester 2.5 and it doesn't look much different than the 2019 model. Larger version with more 'gimmicks' attached. I shall reiterate, what I meant was the Forester appears 'plain Jane' to me whether the base model or the top of the line model. I just like the looks of the CX5 better.
