CX5 stalled at a light
Driving my CX5 today, the car stalled and I had a difficult time getting it started again, but finally did after 3-4 minutes.
After the stall I put it in park and pushed the start button. It sounded like the starter was stuck as the engine kept trying to turn over, even when I released the button.
The car did this multiple times while at the light, then finally started.
Maybe it wasn't getting fuel? There was a weird clicking sounds coming from the engine, do bad injectors sound like that?
Since that issue I've driven 20 miles with no problem, but leery it may shut down at any minute. I'm on vacation and tommow is Friday, should I take it to a dealer asap, it is under warranty.
Ideas?

I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I once had this issue with a Chevy Impala 4 cylinder. Issue had something to do with battery not getting charged or something related. Car ran fine again after I let car run for a long duration. The issue was likely me leaving a light on inside which drained the battery.

How old is your vehicle?
Those starter clicking sounds are the classic signs of a bad battery.
The Mazda OEM battery is not very good and doesn't last long, I only got one year out of mine.
Have the battery load tested to find out if that is your issue.
If it is, replace it with a better quality one, and if it's 3 or more years old you should probably replace it with a new one anyway.
