Question Cx5 2020 jumping into manual mode

Hey guys have a Mazda cx5 2020 100th 2.5T. anniversary model
as I’m driving it just in normal automatic mode it will jump into manual on its own and sometime either drop a few gears to make the rev up to 3-4000rpm why could this be happening? And no I am not accidentally knocking the bear stick it will do it on its own around 10-20 times all in a 30minute drive has anyone experienced this with there mazdas the car only has 14.000kms on it and has had all the correct services done to it

Since its still under manufactures warranty, book it in with Mazda. Make sure you request a road-test with the foreman to demonstrate your concern.

Yes. It’s funny you say that because I brought the car in for its 10k service told them and they did a road test they said and couldn’t find a fault then plugged in into the computer with no error faults coming up. I guess if they did what they said and they did road test it it would have happened for sure as in I’ve never driven it for more then a solid 5 minutes with out it happening

Not likely your issue, but my wife complained of the same thing on occasion, but I never had the problem.
After closer inspection I found she was inadvertently hitting the paddle shifter(s).
It was very rare, but it is possible to do when using the directional signal or the wipers.

If that is the case, request that a service tech drive with you for at least 5 minutes so you can reproduce the fault. Otherwise it seems they won’t be able to help you…”sorry, can’t reproduce customer’s complaint”.

Exactly what he needs to do. Demonstrate it to a technician.

While driving, if you were to switch to manual mode just by moving the stick to the left, the car shouldn't switch gears. Sounds like it's switching to Sports mode instead. I know this because one time, and while day dreaming and driving at 70 miles/h , my passenger (wife) wanted to find out what sports mode was all about and without warning, she flipped the switch! it felt like going from 6th straight into 3rd gear on a manual transmission.
