Thanks, sorry for the late reply! I'll buy a clay bar and try it. Lots of ash in the air from forest fires and I keep hosing the car off when it is left outside. Ash is bad news for car finishes. I think the clay bar will help with the rust spots and certainly with the ash etching into the clear coat.
