Cx 5 2016 2.5 .
Hi all .
I need an advice , always was a Mazda and Honda fan.. but the last 3,5 years I own other cars .
Now I own superb 3 diesel and it’s no more efficient for me because my workplace changed and missing highway rides will slowly destroy that perfect piece of German engineering (trolling)
so I want to calm my heart and have again a Mazda with atmospheric engine 2.5 . I choose six 5 because of riding position .
but .. yesterday was try 2 of Mazdas and 1 Kia sportage 1.6 tgdi GT line awd. I was pretty shocked how much is in that car… better audio, better seats , better assistants, cooled seats , heated steering wheel. And almost same power engine (turbo)
then I try cx5 , revolution top 2017 model (KF) fist generation facelift . And uhm , okay.. it’s good for me because I love atmospheric engines with nice amount of horsepower but . The interior and the car is pretty empty compared to Kia..
so please . In short , everything what I need for my life is in that Mazda , but for that money Kia offers around 50% more . So how to chose ?? Please tell me that Kia engine will be dead before hitting 200 000 km and that Mazda 2.5 will be ok at 400 000km..

There are no definitive studies for longevity of either engine.
With proper maintenance there are unverified claims of 200-250km for the Kia 1.6 and 300km for the Mazda 2.5L
The kia engine has been made since 2011 the Mazda since 2013.
I have seen no independent factual studies done on either engine.
