I am in Ca and it is higher cost of living as well higher auto service shops rates then Connecticut. 200 per hour is a complete rip off!

We or I should say I follow the rates in my area and compare to other states as well to stay competitive but still maintain paying the electric bill. LOL
Mostly because here in CA we are close if not currently the highest cost for auto parts as well, at least in 2025? This makes it more challenging to balance between wanting to make a good GP to maintain the quality of service and not lose business to the grease monkey service shops that charge less for both parts and labor. Then at some point we get the angry customer to fix their shabby work and failed inferior parts and need to educate those customers why they should have paid a little more for both parts and labor and come to us first!
