Brake light problem
The brake light switch was what was bad on my daughters 2020 sport. It's inexpensive and a simple replacement part. That being said, I would unbolt the drivers seat unless you are a contortionist or enjoy pain. I am not a big guy anymore, but too big for the job. I could have saved the pain and just unbolted the seat. BTW, that part is all plastic so I imagine it might need to be replaced more that once over the life of the car.

I had the brake light switch also go bad on my car last week. My mechanic changed it and got the part from a local Mazda dealer. I don't think that they fail often so you should be fine. I'm glad it was cheap and not a rip off like some other companies who overprice them.
Thanks everyone for the ideas. I've been having to work over the weekends so haven't had time to get into this yet and may have to end up just taking it to a mechanic due to time constraints. But I'll update when I find out what is wrong. Thank you again!
Thank you for the video. I've done this on my daughter's Toyota, which was a pita, but this looks way easier than her's was. I was hoping to do it this weekend, but we got an ice storm, so next weekend it is. Weird that it could cause only one light to not work, but for the price it's definitely worth a try.

Finally got around to trying this but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. Looks like I'll just have to work out a time to take it to my mechanic. Thanks to everyone who helped, I appreciate it!
Bummer that didn't fix it. Hopefully it's just something minor with the socket or something. Please be sure to let us know what it ends up being!
