Ive got a 5 year old CX-5 with almost 70K on the clock i use the car to tow with occasionally
I was looking to change the gearbox fluid
is ATF FZ the only fluid I can use or is an alternative available?

 

That is not exactly an accurate question..... Maybe you meant to ask what brand fluid. If it is the question, then your gearbox does use specifically and a specific type of ATF (automatic transmission fluid) .
ATF FZ is formulate by an independent company for MAZDA. There are several other top ATF formulators and brands that will work as good and, in some cases, better then Mazda ATF FZ.
Castrol
Red Line
AMZOIL
Mobil-1
to name a few.

 

Thank you for the reply, just wanted to make sure the FZ wasn't something specific the box needed not really done any gearbox work appreciate your help
