I am considering the CX-5 but can't find a lot of information about the MRCC (Mazda Radar Cruise Control) and the Lane Keeping feature of the vehicle.

Could someone post your real life experience with the system, how reliable they are, and any problems / concerns?

Is MRCC a full range system (I.e. able to stop the car to 0mph and resume with traffic)? If not, what speed range does it operate in?

Is Mazda's Lane keeping system active or passive? By active, I meant it will actively try to keep the car in the center of the lane, rather than allowing the car to drift before taking corrective actions.

From memory, the Radar Cruise Control works over 30km/hr, which is the normal operation speed for cruise control.

Lane departure is only a warning system, it has no control over your driving.

It looks like MRCC is not a full range cruise control and operates within the range of 19 and 90 MPH (or 30 - 135 KMPH).

Some posts online seem to suggest Lane-Keep assist is available in the 2016 version of CX-5. I didn't see that as an options in the official Mazda website, even at the GT level. it looks like this is a vaporware for now for the CX-5.

 

Cruise control starts from 30km/hr or 19 m/hr on all Mazda's.
