24 CX-5 Rear Dome Light Assembly Removal?
Anyone know how to remove the rear dome light housing in a 2024 CX-5?
I'm not talking about the lens for changing a bulb, but dropping the whole housing to see the roof above it.

Supposedly there is a plastic ring that attaches it to the headliner, which is actually above the headliner.
Some folks say you need to remove the headliner to do this, and others say you can reach it from the moon/sun-roof when open.
Either way from what I've read wasn't an easy job.

Thanks, I didn't think about accessing it from the sunroof. I can feel something around the dome light but not sure how it works. All the videos I've seen are for replacing the bulbs in the rear dome light, not removing the assembly. Would you happen to have any more info on the removal procedure? Maybe if I can see a picture of it I will know how to move my hand and remove it without dropping the headliner. Thanks a lot!
Thanks. I'm following that thread as well. Roof mount is the best way to go for the type I want to do.
I may do another off of the hood hinge but for that I need to figure out how to get the coax inside the vehicle. I still want a roof mount, too, though.
