2026 mazda cx-5 bigger ...better ??
.Honestly, I know better and yes, I actually have numbers via creditable reporting resources the number #1 like *NHTSA . There are more issues with out of the USA built vehicles' then US and this is not related to total number registered just the brand and what the more serious issues are. Go debate with them on their information I am sure they would love to hear from you.
You are not going to win, and I am not trying to win so we can keep on with you finding info that you are not *verifying where and whom and me who works in the service industry?
It still boils down to how you ask and specifically what you are wanting to find. How about check aftermarket parts sales and see US vs non-US what is the most parts sold?
You see we can spin this any way you want but that fact is by the number there are less US built vehcle frequenting service shops the non US built vehicles.
Oh I forgot you do realize that many are brands unlike FORD Chevy Dodge that for the most part we call them American built, and I did see the clever word you used "branded". The CA DMV does not report nor have areort of numbers separating brand like Nissin ,BMW etc., that are built in both the US and outside the US as long as the vehcle independently imported have the requirements for registration here in the USA. Sometimes there are vehcle called Grey Market which needs a lot more red tape to get here in the US. But we won't count them because they are general special vehicles' and the number total are so low not worth mentioning.

Simply refuse to believe your statement "fact is by the number there are less US built vehcle frequenting service shops the non US built vehicles" unless you are talking about total numbers seen as there are way more foreign cars on the road than American cars as Lobstah said so by proportion, you would numerically see more foreign cars in your shop because so many more are sold. Unless you are being tricky with your wording "US built". You are saying that GM, Ford and Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler cars require less service visits than Mazda, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Honda/Acura, BMW, M-B, Mini, Jaguar, Porsche, VW and Audi?
I'm not trying to win anything and never been interested in that concept, except when I played competitive sports and I realized for the most part, I'm a pretty good loser in that aspect
My debate skills are unmatched however...
My figures on California vehicles can be verified here (as well as other websites).
Vehicle Fuel Type Count by Zip Code - Dataset - California Open Data
Unless foreign branded California repairs exceed 3x that of US branded we have zero evidence of anything.
In Maine the majority of vehicle repairs (not maintenance items like brakes) are for Ford F-150 series pick-ups.
The reason being the Ford F-150 is largest selling vehicle in Maine.
Ford dealers here will mention they are #1 in pick-up sales but never mention #1 in pick-up repairs.
US badged vehicles better or worse than foreign badged is subject to what data you look at.
Even though they could, service shops and dealers don't publish that data for consumer consumption.
We have only recall notice, public surveys and our own experience which are subject to the opinions/biases of those writing them.
I will again confirm I have had zero repair issues with any of the 11 foreign branded motor vehicles I've owned and/or currently own.
I cannot say the same with for any of 8 US branded vehicles I've owned. (except the 1975 Buick LeSabre and 2016 Buick Encore).
My opinions are formulated by facts and my own experience.
As for manufacturing (vehicle or any type)
There is a huge difference in operational mythology of US owned manufacturing facilities compared to foreign owned manufacturing facilities, be they here or in another country.
The US has adopted much of the foreign physical operational mythology but has yet to attain the management level to go with it.
The majority of all US manufacturing still puts profit, shareholder returns, and CEO and upper management pay above all else.

Ok I am not here to challenge your expertise of debating I respect that .
But I you didn't even consider to look at what I suggested? Nor with all the time spent looking on the internet did you take an hour or two and randomly call service shops across the US.
It is still interesting information you posted. I just look at other 'facts" mostly from the NHTSA? You did have one small line that was cleverly placed in the middle of your last response. And repeated one of my lines re-worded. Compliments on your authoring skills .

I think it's a big downgrade overall. Here's just some of the things I don't like about it that wouldn't make me want to upgrade in the future: No turbo, almost no physical buttons inside, an ugly Tesla style touch screen, terrible spelled name instead of the logo on the steering wheel, front bumper looks like the current model got into an accident, and a tiny cargo area that got shrunk down a lot versus the current one.

- My OPINION : I find JD power to be a poor source of automotive information - they send a 1$ bills to get a targeted audience to fill out a long survey - and the questions are offensive - in many cases -- then edit that data to sell to marketing depts--for you guessed it --sales - On the other subject -- IF its a Japanese car --it should be MADE IN JAPAN - yes parts are a consideration --but the car culture in Japan is beyond belief and the pride in workmanship still exists --thus they are by far the most precision made production automobiles on this planet
Both of these are non-starters for me, and like others I can't understand why they would do this since the CX-50 already had similar specs? I have a 2018 CX-5 that is reasonably capable for driving rough off-road sections to hiking trails, but if the wheelbase gets longer, this will be impacted. My current vehicle is already a very tight fit in my small garage (I can't open my doors all the way and would be unable to park there if I were not a small person), so any increase in body size is a problem. I don't love the touchscreen, but I'm trying to keep an open mind there if the steering wheel controls make up for it. But man, I'm holding out for a 2027 hybrid model and I really hope they go back to the current sizing by then or I'll likely look elsewhere.
Yes but its members on forums like some post on this thread... (hmmm wonder who that is?) that tend to get added to the less then accurate information. You have no depth or numbers to suggest a pattern of any issue regarding makes, model in those makes and years production models >
It would be like me saying that 95% of all non USA brand vehicles are problematic because that is the 500+ vehicles % we service every year. ROLMAO..
Oh on a side note and I have posted this I believe without counting since age 15, I have personally owned and registered in my name or my various company's somewhere between 100+ cars and trucks. LOL And the BS you posted about American vehicles is absolutely total BS! LOL
However I love you responses they are very entertaining please don't stop

i only buy mazda, toyota, honda and maybe subaru...have had pretty good luck with them as far as reliability and repairs (same with family and friends)...have considered a few US made vehicles in the past but don't trust them to run into higher mileage without major problems...i was looking at a used buick tourx wagon instead of a cx-5/rav4/crv but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger for fear of issues...the cx5 is my 5th car ever at 44 (3rd new)...my aim is to keep that # owned figure as small as possible over my lifetime
