That cushion solving the problem ….. glad it worked
It's interesting about preferences. I am 5' 6" and 210. My wife is 5' 1" and 105. We both find the seats in the CX5 comfortable, though she sits with the seat almost all the way up and I have it about 80% to the rear and lowered a bit. It's the same on the Jeep, but, on the MX5, I have the seat 1 click from full back and she, when I can get her to get into the driver's seat is all the way forward. Regardless, we both find all three cars quite comfortable.

I've noticed that by lowering the seat height, it's somewhat improved, but the seat itself is not the most comfortable. Any members have any comments on the seat comfort on their late model CX-5's? Naturally, being comfortable on the seat is a major consideration before purchasing......The jury is still out for me, and I'm not certain I might be able to get used to these seats.
Yes seats are going to be different on every make of car out there...like shoes - lovem hatem -- So buyer beware -- the CX5 s not for everyone --- Hope its proves to be good for you --but --theres a marked difference in the base model up to the signature turbo with Nappa leather, which is not only shaped differently with different support , but does have more seat position adaptions --- it sounds like you purchased a base trim - ? But you didnt say

Premium Plus...Most seats are similar other than Leatherette and the top signature that has a softer leather The ventilated seats are firmer due to the hardware for the system. . Premium plus has the same controls and positions as all the trims above. The seats are subjective and some don't like the CX-50 seats either. . The 2026 CX-5 will finally be revised and let's see if they make any changes to the seats... That should be interesting.

Seats are very much like an ***.
They come in all sizes and shapes and getting them to match is a rarity in and of itself.
The only real way to get a comfortable seat is to have it designed especially for you.
And even then, you can never lose or gain weight or grow or shrink in height.
For the majority of us drivers, unless you are just concerned with the comfort of the seat, it comes down to a compromise on multiple levels when buying a vehicle.
Plus, for some reason, we humans all tend to whine about nearly everything and most of it is totally mundane.

not sure what the higher trim ventilated seats look like but i personally am not a fan of the leather seats with tiny holes for the cooling...after a while they get junk in the holes and i question their durability over time

They can be cleaned, just liked nonperforated ones and having many perforated leather motorcycle jackets I can tell you they hold up very well.
The difference is you have to clean the holes as well, meaning it is far more time consuming.
All that said it heavily depends on what the leather used is actually made of.
While I could always get the actual leather type that was used in my motorcycle jackets, vehicle seat manufacturers are not so forthright with that info.
In reality we all know the majority of people never clean their seats no matter what material they are made off.
If they ever get vacuumed is probably a miracle

i agree...i have seen people trying to poke the holes out out with toothpicks lol...i'm just not interested in the time consumption aspect of them...hard pass on ventilated seats for me...wife has them on her car and while they feel really nice in the summer i would rather be able to clean them quicker...then again i have dog covers on 80% my seats so i just toss them in the wash every so often and take 5 mins to take them off when i have humans in the car ...i have 1 cheap perforated leather jacket (as well as 1 non perforated vanson) but the holes in the perforated jacket don't get clogged up cause they don't lay horizontally with an a$$ on them all the time so i never see the holes get plugged up other than with bugs from time to time which are much easier to get out

The amount of riding I used to do 20K+ a year with the limited riding months we have here meant my jackets were always dirty.
Two of my jackets were Vanson's we used to take a June ride to their shop every year and eat lunch at the Liberal Club.
Portuguese fish and chorizo stew and a single PBR every time.
I had them tailor made just for me, and my *** often sat on them frequently at lunch stops.
Too much money so I would never let them out of my sight
I would actually wear them in the shower to clean them on occasion.
Sounds weird but it worked then I would apply the required conditioners, etc.
I rode and or got caught in the rain often which helped.
Though I can say the freezing rain and snowstorms I managed to run into multiple times really sucked.
And back to seats, I often upgraded my motorcycle seats depending on track/street/touring/two up touring.
Yeah, it's about the same price as getting a custom made CX-5 seat but you only need to buy one.
But don't get me started on tires...

the vanson factory isn't too far from me...i actually play in a softball league near there...although i picked up an off the rack jacket, not a custom tailored one...it's been through 1 lowside and everything held up well...all stitching intact...as you know those jackets are very tough to break in...went up to laconia 1 year and hated that ride cause it rained most of the ride up, while we were there and back...not really enjoyable...one of those things you want to experience but once is enough, at least for me...not really interested in large slow group rides...rather like small group rides with close buddies that i know aren't going to act up...if you like Portuguese food there is always new bedford Portuguese feast to check out (Feast of the Blessed Sacrament)...they usually have some decent music and the food is great...i think it's the largest Portuguese feast in the country...just wouldn't recommend going there at night...too many drunk jackasses = fights and stabbings
