Looking for roof cross bars for the flush roof rails . I need cross bars that extend past the roof rails in order to carry 2 kayaks. The OEM are not long enough, as they terminate at the crossrail.. Both Thule and Yakima have solutions that extend past the cross rails, but they are expensive. for the limited use they will get.. There are many lower cost options on Ebay and Amazon. Has anyone on this site used the less expensive cross bars and if so, can you let us know the brand of the cross bar?

Have you tried websites like Craigslist for used ones?
DR Sports makes a set of upright carriers that will fit for $70.
I have no experience with them though.

 

Facebook Marketplace and thrift stores are great to look at as well.
