Default 2021 Satellite Radio Ad On?

Hey all,

Ive got a new CX-5 Touring Editiong, its got all the bells and whistles I wanted, except stock Sirius satellite radio. We use the apple CarPlay and the Sirius app, but its not perfect. Has anyone looking into adding integrated Sirius to the 2021 CX-5?

I know a company called Vias has an upgrade kit for the 2020:
https://www.vaistech.com/product-tag/Mazda/

I dont see anything for the 2021. I would buy a Sirius satellite kit, but the best way to connect those radio units is with an Aux cord, which the cx-5 doesn't seem to have... Any tips?

Thanks!

I took a look at that kit and unless I'm mistaken, it requires having a cord go onto the roof of the CX-5.If that is the case, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thank you.

There are ways to install it without putting the antenna on the roof. On an old car of mine, the Sirius XM antenna was installed on the very front of the dash, where it had a clear line of sight above to the sky.

Anyone considered this?
Amazon Amazon
I used an old Delphi Roady for years with the antenna on the front of the dashboard, worked great. That was with the wired cassette for input!
Right now I have Pandora through my phone, and when I really think about how frequently I changed channels on the XM, I may just stay with the Pandora.
Pro tip: When your free trial or current subscription runs out, call on the phone and tell them it's too expensive. I ran the last 4 years in my trade-in for ~$6 a month!

I just installed the VAIS Tech system in my new to me 2020 Touring Model. Simple install. Antennae at front right of roof, ran cable down roof rack cover, then down passenger side windshield, under hood and dropped to go into passenger door weather stripping. Fuse Tap for Always Hot power from fuse 14 for Power Point. Sirius radio and VAIS Tech adapter under center console, drivers side. USB cable to center console, drilled hole between Power point and USB inputs and ran it into the console cubby hole. Plugged into Phone USB Port, the only one connected to the factory radio. Took all of an hour. Works great. Pretty lame interface on the factory side, scrolling through channels is a bit of a pain, but there is nothing visible in the cabin, very clean way to get Sirius XM in the vehicle without clutter. I like it.
