I have recently been having problems using my IPhone XR with Mazda connect and wondering if any of you are having similar problems.
When I get an incoming call, the callers name shows up on the screen and I can answer it or end the call on the screen.
However, the voice plays through my phone and not the system as it did before. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the phone.
I have spoken with the dealer who referred me to a Mazda support group in India.
The support person said that my I phone XR IOS16 is not supported by Mazda and I would need to upgrade my phone.
Any suggestions other than buying a new phone.

I'm guessing you may have inadvertently turned down the volume for hands free operation (I've done it myself on my 2020).
Try manually adjusting it and see if that works.

This may seem like a dumb question but how do you turn up the volume for hands free operation on the phone. Or is the volume control on the vehicle.

 

Obviously, you have volume control on your phone.
However, there is a volume control in the CX-5 as well.
I attached a copy of the owner's manual in my previous post which shows you how to make that adjustment.
