Angry 2021’s rear DS reflector fell inwards

The rear driver’s side reflector on the 2021 CX-5 that I purchased in late December fell inwards, a known problem about which Mazda posted Technical Service Bulletin #09-028/20. However, my car is beyond the 3year/36,00 mile limit and my dealer is balking at repairing it, even though I bought an extended warranty from the dealer I purchased it from. (OK, now, DON’T chastise me for buying an extended warranty!!!!)

Apparently, the previous owner (perhaps not knowing that their dealer should have fixed this without charge) just GLUED the reflector back in and it held until someone or something bumped it after I bought the car and the reflector fell inwards again. UGH!!

Assuming (not 100% sure right now), that my local Mazda dealer won’t repair it at their expense, I have two options: pay to have it repaired by their body shop (and they WILL NOT tell me that I need to have the bumper pulled off to have this done, which isn’t true according to the service bulletin); or, as one YouTuber suggested, just stuff styrofoam into the cavity behind the reflector to keep it in place.

Who has also had this issue with their CX-5 AFTER your original warranty period was over and what did you do about it ??

Most people will pull it back into place with and apply an adhesive from what I've seen.
