Interested to hear what they tell you. I will be shocked if any offers are made. The comment will be "this is normal for all CX-5's"

What I saw was almost no rust whatsoever. They were bushings. There were a couple of washers with some surface rust but hey what the heck.

So now that I have been educated I'm good.

So the dealer looked at the areas you photographed and discussed it with you?

not much of a discussion really to be had.

One spot I missed even looking at while I was there - and that spot definitely had rust but overall who cares. Honestly at this point it doesn't matter any longer. Drive the car, maintain it the best I can and that's it. If it's not reliable I get rid of it and solve my problems by buying a Lexus.

My 2019 is showing the exact same rust spots. Also starting to see rust spots on the exhaust. Hopefully this car doesn’t become a rust bucket.

yup I agree. Going to oil spray it every year and hope for the best. As soon as i start seeing rust I will be done with this car...and if that happens too early I will be done with Mazda. Rust of any sort earlier than 10 years into ownership not acceptable especially if you treat it every year and wash it often.

I have a 2016 with 88,000 miles on it. I live in Ohio where they love road salt. Some of the bushings and washers show surface corrosion similar to what you pointed out in your photos. The condition has not changed over the time I've owned the car, so I don't think it will be a problem. And no, I am not a Mazda employee. Enjoy your CX-5.
