2019 CX-5 Question
hey guys, shopping for a 2019 CX-5 Grand Touring. Question i have is why on some does the instrument cluster have a fully digital center circle and some of them have the left 2 as analog and the far right circle as digital. Is there any features lacking in eaither?
Let me take a stab at this. For the 2019 CX-5, the Sport and Touring models had three round pods with the analog tach and analog speedometer in left and center pods respectively. In the right was a digital screen which could be user-configured to display various information along with the permanent fuel gauge (using the info button on the steering wheel). Grand Touring and above trims get the instrument cluster you describe with a 7" digital display incorporating a round bezel. One main difference is this style has a permanent engine temperature gauge with the fuel gauge in the right pod. In the Sport and Touring instrument cluster, the engine temperature can be optionally displayed, or other info such as iActivsense can be displayed instead (An engine temperature warning light is used in this cluster).
Otherwise, both styles display basically the same information. Again, this is for the USA and other markets may or may not be the same.
