Question CX5 GT vs GTR ride firmness

Thinking about buying my first CX5. Over the weekend I rented a ‘20 Grand Touring and found the ride firm but not overly so. Today I test drove a Grand Touring Reserve and was surprised how noticeably more firm the ride was. After driving the GTR today I immediately jumped in a Grand Touring and drove the same test route. Same result. GT felt softer than GTR. Is this my imagination or are these suspensions tuned differently? Wheels are 19” on both. Maybe difference in OE tires? Dealer salesperson doesn’t have an answer.

Could be because of the All Wheel Drive and/or the turbo. Sportier?

My 2¢

I thought they had the same suspension. I echo the question about AWD. Did both cars have it?

Definitely check tyre pressures.

From factory they are set at 50 - 55psi to prevent flat spotting. Once they arrive at the dealer, they get a PDI ( Pre Delivery Inspection), where the tyre pressures are reduced to about 36 38psi.

Driving 1 vehicle at 36psi then another still stuck at 50psi will feel very stiff & bumpy.

Yup. When I bought my CX5 off the lot the tires were @ 45-7psi when I checked them myself at home (after cooling off).
