Default 2017 GT Snow tire question

Hi, we just bought a 2017 CX5 GT with 19" tires. Looking to get B Stone Blizzaks and read that many CX 19" tire owners use the 17" rim/tire combo since overall circumference is unchanged with the taller side wall of the 17 and snow profile.

Thoughts on using the 17" wheels on the GT for this setup.

Thanks,
Lee

Yes... this setup for snow tires works well...
I had found a set of used 17 inch Mazda CX-5 wheels and mounted new snow tires in 225/65R17 (100H). Currently running on the second winter now. These tires stay on the CX-5 for 6 months of the year from mid-October to mid-April.

Thanks for confirming. I bought a set of studded General Altimax Artic 12's 25/65/17 on a set of ST7 rims from Tire Rack. Here in Bend, it gets very icy at times and stays hard pack in certain parts of town all winter. These General's had top reviews also.
I'll report back after some time on them.
