Default 2017 CX-5 Block Heater installation

Hello 1st post here, new Mazda owner.
Looking for the location of the plug for the block heater and cannot find it. I have the left side of engine (driver side) all apart removed the battery and tray etc. and it is not there, not the same as the Mazda 3.
Looked on the web and cannot find it anywhere! Does anyone know where it is?
Thank you

Heater core is located inside A/C unit assembly, what plug do you want to find?

OK, I am officially stumped. Removed the battery and the tray to get the plug from the top but could not find it, then from the bottom still could not even see it.
Do you have to remove the transfer case? or exhaust manifold on the AWD CX5.
Does anyone have instructions on how to get at it?

I took my 2018 CX-5 to a mechanic for an engine block heater. He told me it would be about a 5-hour job, because he would have to remove the exhaust manifold. His recommendation was in a oil pan heater which can be attached from below.
