The audio system only recognizes some songs on my Walkman thru the USB connection. I read on this forum that I need to use the auxiliary input Jack next to USB ports, so I hooked it up that way. Now it shows something connected via aux, but can't access any music. Any ideas?

 

Hooking up your media device through the aux port will not give you the ability to select the songs via de audio system as the aux port works like a headphone port which only carries audio signal, not data signal needed for the music selection through the head unit. Are those songs valid audio files? (mp3, mp4 files and such?)

 

Thanks for you help. I finally figured it out. I hooked my MP3 player back up to the USB port. There is quite a lag when skipping songs and I thought it wasn't working. With a little patience, I realized that it was scanning all the songs in each folder. Everything is good now. More to love about my CX5
