After pouring thousands into my old engine 2.2L SH engine that only had 187,000kms on it I decided to replace the engine. I managed to pick up one of the newer generation SH engines from a 2021 CX-5.

My mechanic is yet to start the engine swap, the plan is to hopefully use my old ECU and Harness on the new engine. What should I be looking out for? Has anyone else done these engine swaps?

Both engines are the 2.2L Bi Turbo SH engines, one just being the newer (more reliable) one.
