First check your fuses (I have no idea which on the rear hatch actuator motor is hooked to).
If the fuse is good, you should get a click unless the actuator and/or wiring is bad.
Get the new actuator tested and make sure it is actually working and go from there.

Welcome to the forum.

I think I may have tried the acuator before installing or have checked the suspected actuator when I removed to verified it was the actuator and not the control or power supply during actuation? That said you will need to re-step your service process and determine the true problem.
I do recomed for any issue to always varify that it is a the parts that has failed or causeing the problem before replacing it. Often times many will assume a part has failed replaced it and in doing that service inadvertanly caused other added problems.

Default Rear hatch lock

2015 cx-5...My rear hatch latch lock will not work sometimes during cold temperatures. When it warms up, it works.
