Default 2015 CX-5 - fake phone calls

This has happened in the past, but is happening with much more frequency now. Basically when I start the car, it shows a phone call on the center screen. My phone is not on a call though. I cannot clear this. Hang up doesn't work. Disconnecting BT doesn't work (when I reconnect it does that same thing). I can't play the radio or do anything else with BT. The only way to fix it is to turn the car on and then off again. Not convenient.

I had an update to the BT done at the dealer years ago due to an issue. I don't have any more details. I am not sure if it was just software or they replaced a chip.

Obviously, since the car hasn't changed it must be an update on my phone. I have a Pixel 7 Pro.

Any ideas?

I believe I downgraded the version of BT on my phone because the center screen was no longer showing the title/artist of songs played via BT from my phone.

Have you tried unhooking the battery for a few minutes and then putting it back together?

And, if you do, remove the negative cable, not the positive.
