2014 MAZDA CX5 -Audio and IPOD
Lots of messages. I am too having same connection issues. Sometimes it works right away other times I go weeks without it reading. It always starts from the 1st song. I have a newer iPod. Older ones didn't work. Any advice. Dealers no clue. Tried cigarette lighter. iPhone works. Frustrating. Starts up on it's own. Been unusable for 3 weeks now

Frankly, I'm not sure the module has done much, if anything, with my iPod problems. Sometimes it never wants to make a proper connection. Amazing lack of support from Mazda.
Thanks service just ordered me the module. I disconnected the iPod let it reconnect for 30 min last night then black screen. We will see if this works at all. Thanks all ... So frustrating on new cars Thankful that's all I had. No mirror rattling or loud tires or leaking sunroofs!
Just visited my dealer regarding the iPod integration issues. I told him upfront about the TSB 09-008/15 that had been issued but he didn't write it down, just said the service tech would find it. Anyway, after waiting around for a bit the service advisor came up to me and introduced me to the tech and we went out to the car. The tech was telling me that everything checked out ok, which of course it wasn't. I told him that every time you start the car it goes back to the first song, he suggested it was an iPod setting, which of course I know it isn't because I can plug the same iPod in my VW and it remembers where you left off. Anyway, I showed him the TSB and he wrote the number down and said he would look into it (should have printed it out and handed it to them when I brought the car in).
Finally, left the dealership after they said they would be ordering the new module on Monday. I'm looking forward to testing the fix to see how much of an improvement it will be, if it can just remember what song it left off of and play from that point on it will be a huge improvement. This is my wife's car and she doesn't even try to listen to her iPod because it is so aggravating, other than that she loves the car so keeping my fingers crossed on the fix.
I'll try to remember to post an update once the new module goes in.

I just bought a new 2016 CX-5 GT. I checked the Mazda website, and it said my ipod nano was compatible with the audio. When I plugged it in the first time, it worked. But after that, it hasn't worked again. I've read many of the posts about ipods and Bluetooth (going back to 2012), but I haven't seen this issue yet, which is why I think I am having issues - I noticed that the display in the car is on Pause, while the ipod shows Play. When I press the Pause button to change to Play on the car display, the Ipod display shows Pause. No matter what I have tried (plugging, unplugging, turning off and on) I can't seem to get the two to sync up.
Someone suggested that I reset the car settings back to factory, but all that did was get rid of the first 15 channels on XM. Which now is a double bummer.
Help! Any suggestions?

Had Bluetooth installed and everything works great so far. Mazda was aware of issues on models older than 2016. It's now been fixed. Not a recall as it's not considered safety. My old nano now even works which didn't before. It shows play on nano and dash screen. Only takes a second to connect and on the last song that was playing. I do need to hit artist again to see song list but that's ok with me!
Make certain you tell your dealer about TSB 09-008/15. He will likely ask you to call Mazda customer service. My wife's son has a 2015 Mazda6 with similar problems and hasn't had success getting the new module installed. Mazda customer service has told me that even though the problems aren't solved with this module, there are no plans to deal further with the problem.

I tried searching the internet for TSB 09-008/15 and could not find it. For my Subaru it's as easy as just going on google. Mazda seems to make it more difficult. I checked mazdaproblems.com, I checked my dealership site, I checked the Mazda.com site, I checked automd.com...where can I find this TSB?
