2013 CX-5 rear hatch wont open
I have a 2013 CX-5. Hatch won’t open. I tried replacing the lockassembly. This didn’t solve my problem also checked all fuses under the dash, all ok. I ohmed out the rear push button switch, this is also checked out good. All the other locks are working. Anyone experienced this problem?
Do you have a hatch release button on your remote?
Have you tried with the engine off? ( There's a lock out if the engines running)
Have you tested both the release button & the lock release solenoid?

I don’t have a hatch release button on my remote. I just pressthe button twice to unlock all the doors. I’m trying to open with the enginenot running all the other doors unlock except the hatch. I tested the releasebutton, it is working. I replaced the latch assembly including the solenoid witha new OEM part.
Mine won't open in cold weather. The only thing that helps is changing the autolock feature on the radio setup. As long as I don't lock my doors, my hatch opens in cold weather. HUGE pair in the ***! I have a 2014 cx5 with 160,000 miles.
I have a 2014 and the latch doesn't release when the temperatures are below freezing. The button clicks but the door doesn't open. If I pull it in the garage or leave it in the sun it works fine. I did replace the latch assembly and nothing changed.
It's a royal pain in the ***. I've had to climb through the backseat to release the latch to get into the storage area.
If I pull out of my heated garage in the morning to drive to work, as long as I don't lock my doors the hatch will open when I get to work. If I do accidentally lock my door at work and then try to open the hatch it won't open.
When I press the hatch button I can hear it click, but the latch doesn't release.
