With all the car guys out there, has anyone attempted to apply heat tape patches? This would be placed under the chrome, in front of the headlights and wired in. Add a controller of some sort to control how long they are on, similar to rear window defogger, or a button you can activate? If snow accumulation is such as issue, this might be an easy and quick fix.
