2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5L AWD
My wife and I own a beautiful 2021 Mazda CX-30 SUV with 16,500 miles on it. So far, it's been pretty good to us. It is the 'premium' model with leather seats, all-wheel-drive and the 2.5L non-turbo SkyActiv engine. I believe the color is "Soul Red" - which draws compliments wherever we go with it. This is our first Mazda ever - and it's obvious that they have stepped up their game since they separated from Ford a while back. The only drawback of the CX-30 is that the rear seat legroom is not so hot - but it's only the two of us, so we are not too worried about it.
We are soon moving to Germany in August and take the Mazda to the Norfolk port next week. I am going to give it a thorough cleaning + have the oil & filter changed beforehand. Is it wise for me to keep using 0w20 synthetic oil since the climate is colder in the winter months? Has anybody else on this forum driven their Mazda in a foreign country? If so, how did it hold up?
I know that Mazda has dealerships in Germany and that the CX-30 is sold over there. Ours obviously is a US-spec model, but we're able to drive it over there because we're under the Status Of Forces Agreement. European cars have different headlights, tail lamps, mirrors and emissions controls - and maybe an extra turn indicator lamp on the front fender, but there are not any major differences. Thanks for any replies. Have an outstanding day!!
I used 0w20 full synthetic Valvoline and a new oil filter. The engine air cleaner is almost new and the cabin air filter only had a minor amount of dust. I just banged it loose on the ground and reinstalled it.
The car goes to the port on Thursday for its five-week journey to Germany. We look forward to driving it over there.
