Default Steering

I have not owned this 90 B2200 very long. One thing I notice when driving is the steering does not return to center. Such as, you make a lane change on the highway and normally a vehicle will sort of return the steering wheel to center or at least gradually move there with little help from the driver. On this truck there is no real action like that. If I change lanes, I have to actually correct the direction once the lane change is made.

Is this a normal characteristic of the 90 B2200 or is there something I should be looking to fix? Maybe the lash is adjusted too tight?

This is not typical. Maybe the worm adjustment on the steering box needs to be adjusted a tad looser.

I loosened up the lash screw 1/2 turn. There is an improvement in the steering return and a slighty noticeably play in the steering. It's still not returning as strong as it should but its an improvement and the truck is overall easier to maintain a straight line of travel.

I'm thinking maybe an alignment is needed. Maybe more positive caster would help it.
