So let痴 me starts out by saying I知 no expert mechanic and I no enough to get me by and with that said this truck is a nightmare so it all started with me driving and running out of gas when I put gas in it it would start come to find out it wasn稚 getting any spark so I went and changed out the ignition coil and bam it started right up so I let it idle and then took it for a drive well my truck is on air bags and while I was driving I hit a dip in the road and where air intake is and the wire from the coil it hit it and shorted it out and killed the truck so I fetnn bc it towed back and bought another coil and it fired right back up and as it痴 running I run out of gas again which killed it again so I bought yet another one hell another 2 and it won稚 start I made sure I put gas in it and it won稚 start I知 getting power to the coil and the to distributor and it won稚 start I致e replaced the distributor rotor and what not and still nothing I had a 04 ranger that did the same thing ran out of gas and wouldn稚 start it ended up being the timing chain sensor Does a b2600 have one like I have no clue what els

Welcome to the forum!

Believe it or not, on a B2600i, you can actually install the rotor in 3 different positions. Because of the triangular post that the rotor pushes onto, you can install it 3 different ways. I would make sure that the engine is set at Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke and then check, or install the rotor so that the rotor points toward 9:00 o'clock, when looking at the distributor from the Driver's side front fender. Let us know if this gets you started or not.
