Im in the process of installing a clock spring (waiting for part) In a 2002 b3000, I forgot to mark the steering wheel post before I pulled the steering wheel , I did mark it after I pulled the steering wheel and the wheel was locked am I OK If not how do I line it up properly . Hold the clock spring in your hand, slowly, gently & carefully turned it clockwise until you feel resistance, stop. Now slowly, gently & carefully turn it anti-clockwise while counting the revolutions until you feel resistance, stop. Divide the number of turns by half. Turn it clockwise that number of turn. This will be centre. There will always be a little of extra travel to cover it being a little bit out ( maybe 20 or 30 degrees)

 

I got the clock spring installed and the horn didn't work just made this clicking noise in the dash somewhere . I took the horn out and found out one didn't work reinstalled with just one horn and taaa daaaa it worked and I hope continues to do so ! Thanks for the help Grim reaper !
