Default How to get broken guide pin out if shifter housing

Guide pin broke inside the shifter tower, took off that top cap and its broken inside. Got another pin from a 4x4 but Im stuck on how to get the broken piece out of that little plate deal. Is there somewhere I could get another plate if I can't get this pin out? I don't even know what it's called.

You mean this pin.....at the 7 o'clock position in the picture?

If so, you can actually remove that part of the transmission shifter housing, make a gasket, and bolt a different one on the trans that has a good pin......or remove the part of the housing to better access it in order to replace the broken pin in your housing.
