Finding side mirror for B2600 4x4
When I originally posted the thread about fixing your tow mirrors, years ago on a now defunct Mazda truck forum, I stated that you should not try to remove the two screws inside the mirror head (like you found out!) as it will ruin the mirror. Just spray some type of penetrant in there to help release the "grip" of the mirror head to the aluminum pivot pole, and pull the head off of the pole. I too ruined a mirror head when I loosened those two screws!
Anyways, I'm not lopsided anymore, so here's an update:
no more gimpy mirror, and no more trying to hunt for the angle to look in it while driving
it's got character, but it works great
I'm on the fence about doing a gloss coat on the new one to match the original, let me know what you think. I'm fine leaving it on there for now
