I am wanting to force cooled water back through the intake to the head with a remote pump to cool the intake rather than sending water from the head to the intake to keep it hot. Can anyone tell me what the gpm and psi is of the stock pump so I can size the right remote pump and not overpower or put too much back pressure on stock pump.

 

Reversing the flow is unlikely to make much of a difference in the temperature of your intake; it will still heat the intake charge regardless of which way the coolant flows.

 

It probably won't make much difference in cooling, but just a thought...thanks! Oh yea, nice f4u corsair pic, my grandfather built and serviced prat & whitney double wasp engines years ago. Definately one of the best naval fighters.

 

I don't suppose you have any P&W manuals or other paraphernalia from your grandfather; I'm part way through a manuscript that has as one of its main characters an individual that helped to design and build the R-2800 and could always do with more research material.
